Conlan vs Guerfi Undercard: Sean McComb, Fearghus Quinn & Conor Quinn Win
Junior welterweight prospect McComb (15-1, 5KO) put on a jab-fest. He used his height and reach to perfection, raining blitzing combination punches and nullifying the power of the flat-footed Osadan (23-1-1, 15KO). He moved well providing angles, and kept the fight at mid-range.
Osadan must have been hungry as he continued to eat jabs for the full length of the contest. All three judges scored it 100-90 as McComb pitched a shut-out and walked away with the WBO European title.
GRAHAM MCCORMACK VS FEARGHUS QUINN
This fight was a complete “role reversal” as Quinn (5-0, 2KO), the boxer, bullied the supposed brawler in McCormack (8-2, 1KO) around the ring like a rag doll. Quinn’s work rate kept his opponent in survival mode for the majority of the fight. He landed almost every punch thrown from the jab to a left uppercut as his opponent’s bloody face reflected the damage. Finally in the sixth-round McCormack’s corner threw in towel giving Quinn the right to the Ireland BUI Celtic Middleweight title.
CONOR QUINN VS STEPHEN JACKSON
Flyweight prospect Conor Quinn (4-0-1, 3KO) went 6 rounds with a guy that had 28 loses after winning his ring debut in 2020. Sure, Jackson (1-29-1, 1KO) had only been knocked out once in 28 defeats, but Quinn should have at least looked impressive in winning a shutout. Not only did he not look impressive, he allowed Jackson to stop his KO streak. Back to the drawing board it is!
