Seniesa Estrada Challenges Yokasta Valle to Minimumweight Undisputed Bout!

Women’s unified minimumweight champions Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (24-0, 9 KOs) and Yokasta Valle (28-2, 9 KOs) have established themselves as the best fighters at 105. The drumbeats are banging louder for them to fight for undisputed status in the division.

MESSAGE DELIVERED

In a bit of irony, both fought on March 25. In Fresno, California, Estrada was dominant in a win over Tina Rupprecht to become the unified (WBA/WBC) champion. Shortly after Estrada’s win, Valle successfully defended her (WBO/IBF) minimumweight titles with a unanimous decision victory over Mexico’s Jessica Basulto in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Following her victory over Rupprecht, Super Bad laid down the gauntlet with the following comments about Estrada:

“I want to tell the other champion at 105 pounds that I’m whipping you next. We can get it next. I’m the best in this division, and I know it, and I want to prove it by being undisputed.”

Valle has also stated that she wants to become undisputed at 105. With both ladies having the same goal, the next effort should be for their representatives to work behind the scenes to get them in the ring against one another.

Top Rank is the promoter for Estrada. The company is going on an all-out promotional campaign to make her one of the superstars of women’s boxing. Valle is promoted by Golden Boy, who views the 30-year-old as one of the elite female fighters in the sport. On paper, it would be one of the best fights that could be made.

Top Rank and Golden Boy are no fools. They know a potential high-value money fight when they see it. Look for them to start the building blocks for an Estrada-Valle showdown either later this year or early in 2024.
