Gary Russell Jr confirms contract offer from Haney!
WBC featherweight champion “Mr” Gary Russell Jr (31-1, 18KOs) has given the fans an update on the situation between himself and WBC lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (24-0, 15KOs).
As you all know by now both men have been going back and forth through social media. While Russell has backed off a little bit, Haney has continued his virtual attack on the featherweight champion by asking where is he in response to the contract his team sent over.

While working out, Russell posted the following to his Instagram social media page and said the following:
“To the fans, to the people that want to know. They definitely did send the contract over, we’re just putting in the particulars that we want. Based upon the fact that if I beat his lil ass the rematch is on our terms.
“Whatever network I decide.”
So as it stands there are real negotiations taking place. Also it appears this fight is inching closer and closer to reality. The only real stipulation as Russell puts it is he wants to be in control over the idea of a rematch clause.
Will the latest stipulations by Russell can the fight? Let’s hope not!
