Jan Paul Rivera Scores An Impressive Victor Over Andy Beltran
Fighting in his country of Puerto Rico, featherweight prospect Jan Paul Rivera looked impressive against Andy “Skeletor” Beltran (8-1, 5KO)
Despite being the shorter fighter, Rivera still managed to land the jab and overhand right. His in-and-out movements occasionally halted the offense of Beltran.
Yet, Skeletor came to fight as he put together a hard four-punch combination that froze the Puerto Rican momentarily. Yet, Beltran’s chin got tested as he took several punishing right hands.
Rivera realized headshots did not affect the Mexican and started attacking the body with relentless aggression. He managed to buckle the legs of Beltran a few times with hard punches.
This fight was far from over as Beltran landed hard right hands that tested the will of the Puerto Rican. Yet, Rivera responded with a flurry of hard shots to the body and head.
Down the stretch, Rivera continued to attack with combination punches until the final bell sounded.
When it was all over the two judges scored it 80-72 with one scoring it 79-72 in favor of Rivera.
