Jared Anderson Runs Over Hector Perez
On the undercard of ESPN’s Felix Verdejo v Will Madera telecast, the highly touted heavyweight prospect Jared “Big Baby” Anderson (5-0, 5 KO’s) collected a swift knockout win over an over-matched Hector Perez (7-3, 3 KO’s).
The first round bludgeoning kept his perfect five-fight knockout streak alive and well.
Honestly, there was not really that much to report from this lightening quick fight. Anderson came out working very methodically behind a measured jab and straight right.
His Puerto Rican opponent did virtually nothing outside of shell-up and move backwards. Despite his defensive posture, Big Baby was still able to clip Perez with a hurtful straight right to the side of the head.
Anderson pounced on his hurt adversary. He struck Perez with shots until the Puerto Rican went down to his knees. The faculties of the Puerto Rican were in place. However, he did not make the count.
Seeing how Anderson had just fought on ESPN about one month ago, we are more than likely going to see him in another quick turnaround prizefight.
