Kosei Tanaka Set To Return

Tanaka makes Flyweight debut on March 31st

3KingsBoxing.com has learned that Kosei Tanaka will be making his 112lbs division debut on March 31st against Ronnie Baldonado. Tanaka is coming off a TKO win against Rangsan Chayanram that came at a cost as he suffered a broken orbital bone injury that kept him sidelined for the remainder of 2017 and the first part of 2018. It will be interesting how the eye looks as these type of injuries can be tricky.
Tanaka is excellent fighter with only 10 fights under his belt. He was the WBO champion at light flyweight and minimumweight. A rising star in Japan and considered by many as one of the best in the lower weight classes. He shows tremendous in ring skills but like I mentioned breaking an orbital bone can derail a fighter and I’m hoping that with him this isn’t the case.
Baldonado is a native of the Philippines and has a record of 10-0-1 with 7KOs and looking to make a name for himself by getting an upset victory over Tanaka. It will be an interesting fight which Tanaka should win but with the eye injury you just never know.
