Prograis Believes Hooker Is Scared To Fight Him!

Former WBA junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis (24-1, 20KOs) is fed up dealing with former WBO junior welterweight champion Maurice Hooker (27-1-3, 18KOs) and his trainer Brian “Bo Mac” McIntyre.

The two men were previously scheduled to square off on April 17 before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled those plans. The original agreement was for them to fight at 143lb catchweight. Now that boxing has resumed the fight with Hooker has been called off due to Hooker’s inability to make the 143lb catchweight.

In a video posted on his personal YouTube channel, he went into detail on this whole process dealing with Hooker.

“So as everybody know, the fight with me and Maurice Hooker is off. He pulled some bitch ass shit, him and his fucking coach pulled some bitch ass, pussy shit. Talking about they want to fight at 147 now and all that stuff, I’m pissed off about it. I’m definitely pissed off about it you know, because I know you’ll be watching this. You know we don’t like each other. It’s real, this not no business shit.”

“Like, I know in Dallas when we were sitting next to each other, the announcer was like ‘y’all really don’t like each other’. Yeah you kinda right, we don’t like each other, and you were like ‘it was business, just business’. You say you don’t like me, I talk too much, whatever; whatever the case, you say you don’t like me. I don’t like you, it’s real, it’s real beef. It’s real bad blood and shit like that.”

PROGRAIS SLAMS HOOKER WEIGHT EXCUSES!

“I think that’s some bitch ass, pussy shit that you and Bo Mac pulled, you know what I’m saying? You talking about you can’t make the weight. Like I said, the fight was supposed to be at – initially the fight was supposed to be at 140. My goal is to be a champion again at 140. I don’t plan on going to 147 right now, that’s not in my goals. My personal goal, like I said, is to be world champion again at 140 before I move up to 147. So I’m not about to keep budging and shit like that, but we did the first time.”

“At first we was like it’s going to be at 140. You was like no, Bo Mac said you can’t make the weight, it’ll take you three months to make 140. Alright, the coronavirus happens; it’s been three months and now you’re even bigger. Now you got even more fucking time to make the shit and now you’re even heavier. The shit don’t make sense.”

PROGRAIS BELIEVES HOOKER IS SCARED TO FIGHT HIM!

“I think you don’t want to fight me. Your team knows you don’t want to fight me. I think you’re fucking scared of me, I’m not gon’ lie, I really think you’re scared of me, I think you’re on some bitch ass shit, you know what I’m saying. I just think you’re on some bitch ass shit, I just think you’re on some bitch pussy, ass shit.”

PROGRAIS QUESTIONS HOOKER’S PROFESSIONALISM

“You fucking make seven figures to fight. How are you not professional enough to fucking stay in shape? I been in fucking shape, I been training this whole time. This whole corona time, I’ve been fucking training, I’m ready to make 140. So like I said, it’s on some bitch ass, pussy ass shit; I’m not going to 147. You gon’ fuck around and miss a payday, you not gone get this opportunity for awhile. So you need to make the weight. If you don’t make the weight, then I don’t know what to tell you brother.”

That was a mouthful from Prograis, who questioned Hooker’s heart when it comes to facing him, as well his professionalism with so much time off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’ll be interesting to see what Hooker has to say in response to the critical comments made by his Louisiana counterpart.
