Manny Robles sends a warning to Anthony Joshua!

Manny Robles, trainer of unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz, was attending the fight between welterweight prospect Vergil Ortiz and Antonio Orozco.

While being interviewed by Fighthype, he provided his perspective of the news about the rematch location with former champion Anthony Joshua. Although, right away, he made clear where he fits into the picture.

“I’m not part of the negotiations. I coach, I get him [Andy] ready to fight.

“You haven’t heard anything from Andy Ruiz and there is a reason why, right? You got one party saying we’re fighting December 7 and you got the promoter [Eddie Hearn] saying we fighting in Saudi Arabia.”

“But we haven’t heard anything from the other party, which is Andy Ruiz. But everybody gotta hold off and wait.”

The announcement about the location of the fight being in Saudi Arabia has everyone inside the boxing community scratching our heads. This literally came out of nowhere. The two leading locations, many believe, were Cardiff or Madison Square Garden. Ruiz is normally pretty active on social media. The unified champion’s absence on every platform has many believing that maybe it’s not a done deal on the fight.

The California trainer would also claim they will be ready, while sending a warning to the British heavyweight.

“At the end of the day, we are willing to fight any place anywhere […] That’s what a true champion does, you know what I mean? If we gotta go to Wales, England, in this case Saudi Arabia, back to New York, we gotta do what we gotta do.”

“You’re gonna see a better Andy. A slimmer, lighter, quicker, faster stronger Andy then you did the first time.”

Robles seems ready to go with whatever decision is made final and has a game plan for the champion. However, there are still so many questions that desperately need answers from all parties involved.
