ERIC PRIEST OBLITERATES PAUL MENDEZ IN THE FIRST ROUND

Super middleweight prospect Eric Priest (12-0, 8KO) made quick work of veteran Paul Mendez (21-5-2, 11KO) without breaking a sweat.

The ring walk combined with the fighter’s introductions lasted longer than the actual fight. Right away, Priest went to work with the jab and threw counter shots that hurt Mendez in the first round.

Realizing his opponent’s defense was poor, the Texan landed a beautiful overhand right that put Mendez on the canvas. As the fight continued, Priest continued to attack with relentless aggression. After landing a barrage of right hands, the referee jumped in to stop the fight.

Priest made a statement by taking out Mendez and showing the difference in talent. Fighting under the watchful eye of trainer Ismael Salas, the talented undefeated prospect looks to be a force in the division.
