Seniesa Estrada Plans to Make Yokasta Valle Fight her Fight
The undisputed minimumweight championship is at stake, when unified champions Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (25-0, 9 KOs) and Yokasta “Yoka” Valle (30-2, 9 KOs) square off, on March 29 on ESPN. Estrada believes she is far superior to Valle and plans to prove it once the bell rings.
It’s a fight that fans have wanted to see for years. They’ve hurled numerous insults towards each other. Their rivalry runs deep.
SUPER MOTIVATED
Golden Boy Promotions used to handle the career of Estrada. But in the summer of 2022, Estrada parted ways with the promotional company due to irreconcilable differences.
In a twist of irony, Golden Boy currently guides the career of Valle. Estrada talked about how the element of her former promoter has only added fuel to her fire. Super Bad said she has intentions of take her anger out on everyone associated with Valle, during an exclusive interview on the Morning Kombat.
“I’m going in there, and it’s me against all of them. I’m defeating that whole side, that whole team. It’s the biggest fight of my career. It’s the most serious fight of my career and the most focused that I’ve ever been for a fight . . . I think about it every day. I can’t wait to have those belts around me.”
PLANNING TO BE AT HER VERY BEST
She will likely have her hands full against Valle, who comes into the contest with a tremendous wave of confidence. Yoka is a very skilled fighter with a fair amount of pop in both fists. She also has an excellent defense and a good chin. On paper, Valle represents the toughest test of Estrada’s career.
But Super Bad is plenty talented in her own right. The unified champion has one of the more unique styles in the sport. She plans to put on a show in front of a national television audience.
“All of the different things I can do, all the tools that I have, and I think that is going to expose her weaknesses . . . All of the fighters that she’s faced have all fought the same way, fought her gameplan and her style. I’m not going to do that on March 29.
I’m going to fight the way Super Bad fights, the best way I can fight with my style and my skills . . . They’ll know that our skill levels are very different.”
In one of the most highly-anticipated fights of 2024, Estrada not only wants to beat Valle; she plans to dominate her in the process of becoming undisputed at 105.
