Errol Spence Jr Likes The Idea Of Frank Martin Versus Isaac Cruz

On December 17, lightweight sensation Frank “The Ghost” Martin’s (17-0, 12KO) excellent performance over top contender Michel Rivera (24-1, 14KO) had the entire boxing community buzzing. Unified welterweight champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr favors the idea of a fight with top contender Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz (24-2-1, 17KO).

Martin’s performance was so spectacular that boxing enthusiasts are already matching him against the top names in the division. This is typical whenever a fighter gets a win of this magnitude against a fighter of Rivera’s caliber.

When asked who he wants next, Martin initially stated he wanted all the top guys during the post-fight interview, before mentioning the names of Gervonta Davis, Rolando Romero, and Haney.

ERROL SPENCE JR IS INTERESTED IN MAKING MARTIN VS CRUZ

Martin fights under the banner of Spence Jr’s promotional company, Man Down Promotions. During an interview with ESNEWS, The Truth put on his promoter’s hat and seemed to favor a fight with Cruz more.

“Him and Pitbull would be a good fight. He’s gonna engage too. So, that’s going to make Frank let his hands go a lot more. He actually does better with people that are engaging him.”

Yet, Team Cruz may pass on the offer considering a title shot is within their grasp. They recently turned down a fight with two-divisional champion Shakur Stevenson. Pitbull is rated #2 WBC, #3 WBO, #4 IBF, and #7 WBA. It is unlikely they are willing to take the same risk Rivera did with so much at stake.
