Josh Taylor is Excited to Punish Jack Catterall!
Undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh “The Tartan Tornado” Taylor (18-0, 13KOs) is one of the most intense fighters in boxing today. On February 26, he’ll be defending his titles against mandatory challenger Jack “El Gato” Catterall (26-0, 13KOs).
After their final press conference, Taylor sat down with iFL TV, where he let it be known what he wanted to do to Catterall once the two men were in the ring.
“All is done. Now, I just want to get my hands on Jack Catterall and batter him.”
This type of talk is the norm for Taylor. The Scotland fighter prides himself on putting on great performances while inflicting as much pain as possible on his opponents in the process. He is a significant favorite heading into this fight. Also, this is likely his junior welterweight finale before he ascends to the welterweight division.
As we’ve seen in several Taylor fights previously, he has the ability to dish out tons of punishment. Will Catterall feel the wrath of the Tartan Tornado or will he weather the storm and pull off boxing’s first big upset of 2022? We will have our answer very soon!
