Frank Warren speaks on why Sergey Kovalev vs Anthony Yarde is taking so long!

Queensberry Promptions head Frank Warren gives some insight into the happenings of WBO light heavyweight clash between Sergey Kovalev and Anthony Yard.

In regards to Yarde (18-0, 17 KO’s), Warren explained the fight was still forthcoming.

The champion is currently facing serious legal troubles in the United States. Many believe it’s directly due to these unresolved legal matters that the upcoming prizefight is being contested in Russia.

The British based promoter made sure to note that his man, Yarde, had signed his portion of the contract and he was faithful that the bout would take place.

Regardless of the legal matters, which Warren explained wouldn’t require Kovalev’s appearance in court until after the soon to be scheduled bout, a formal announcement is set to take place!
