APRIL 12, 2018 – Former Danny Garcia VICTIM Rod Salka (24-6, 4KO) SHOCKED THE WORLD when he appeared in the ring against Mexican fighter and former WBC 135lbs champ Francisco Vargas (26-2-2, 18KO) with trunks that PERSONIFIED President Donald Trump’s idea of building a wall to separate Mexico and the United States.
His trunks also had the words “America 1st” written on the belt line and the pattern of a wall draped across the front to show there would be NO mistaking the message he was trying to send.
THE RESULT…a sixth round DRUBBING by Vargas!

Salka appeared on the under-card of now WBC 135lbs champ Miguel Berchelt’s SIXTH title defense against Jason Sosa November 2, 2019. He would be beaten into SUBMISSION in the very FIRST ROUND against Alex Saucedo who was coming off his loss to then WBO 140lbs champ Maurice Hooker!
