Dillian Whyte Motivated to Avenge his Defeat to AJ
In his next fight, heavyweight fighter Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte (29-3, 19 KO’s) will collide with two-time heavyweight champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (25-3, 22 KO’s). To secure the affair, The Body Snatcher, ranked #6 (WBC) and #8 (IBF), insists that he took short money. Yet, Whyte is not sweating it because for him, this duel is bigger than a payday.
“I’m not getting paid my value in this fight, not for what I bring, but sometimes it’s about opportunity . . . The fight is on, big money, I know I am getting undersold. But, you know what? I wanted the opportunity and I want a chance to avenge my defeat and also I want to beat AJ up!”

To date, Whyte has split a pair of fights with Anthony Joshua. In the amateurs he won, but suffered a seventh round stoppage when they tested their might as professionals. So, presented the chance to collect his pound of flesh, The Body Snatcher was willing to leave money on the table. Even better, if successful, Whyte, 36, can rupture a late-year mega-payday for AJ.
Completely contingent on his match with Whyte, Joshua, 33, has a would-be signed contract to face one-time heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Dubai. If AJ loses however, then his lucrative showdown against the man with the nuclear straight right goes up in smoke. From The Body Snatcher’s point of view, this would have to make for a satisfying plate of cold revenge. With all their historic melodrama, and all that hangs in the balance, Whyte versus Joshua should make for one exciting grudge match for however long it lasts.
