Tyson Fury And Wladimir Klitschko Trade Words After Fury Says Oleksandr Usyk Used Steroids!
WBC heavyweight champion “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 22KOs) is known for his brash comments and entertaining trash talk. However, he may have just put his enormous foot in his mouth. While working out, Fury decided to rip former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22KOs) for losing to Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13KOs). In the process of doing that, he made a rather head-scratching comment regarding Usyk.
“You know I can’t believe AJ is going to give Ukraine all the heavyweight belts back. After all my hard work of relieving them, you big useless dosser! You’ve let a little steroid man come up from middleweight and set about ye, and take all your belts. But it’s going to have to take a real British Lancaster Bomber like me to go and relieve [Usyk] of the belts and get them back to Britain. You useless dossers! Honestly, bring them to me, the Gypsy King! Bring them to me!”
FURY TAKES UNPROVEN SHOT AT USYK!
Fury, accusing Usyk of being a steroid user, immediately opened himself up for harsh and, in this situation, just criticism. Back in 2015 he along with his cousin Hughie Fury were charged by the U.K Anti-Doping. Their tests reflected traces of Nandrolone, a banned substance, in their systems. In September of 2016, he tested positive for benzoylecgonine which is found in cocaine. That resulted in him being stripped of his titles. This all happened prior to his scheduled rematch with former long-reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Fury easily won that fight in November of 2015.
Usyk, a former undisputed crusierweight champion, has never tested positive for PED’s nor been linked to consuming any illegal drugs as a professional.
WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO COMES TO USYK’S AID!
After hearing what Fury had to say about his countrymen, Klitschko chimed in to remind Fury it’s he who tested positive for PED’s. This led to Fury responding, reminding him of how thoroughly he dominated their fight to take the titles of the former champion. While Fury has maintained he never took PED’s, those tests say otherwise. Maybe this is a strategic move to drum up interest in their possible undisputed heavyweight showdown, at some point in 2022. Regardless, by accusing Usyk of doing such a thing, he will surely bring up his own sketchy past in his future interviews.
