Tyson Fury casts doubts over Deontay Wilder rematch!

By now it’s well known that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and former unified champ Tyson Fury are expected to rekindle their rivalry on February 22, 2020.

Wilder still has one more obligation to clear before he can proceed with the highly anticipated rematch. He’s set to square off in another rematch as he’ll battle Luis Ortiz on November 23 in Las Vegas.

However, Fury has cast doubt with recent comments made regarding his status now as a “pro” wrestler. Fury is set to take on Braun Strowman on October 31 at the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia.

“There’s a hell of a chance of that.”

Further fueling speculation that the rematch could be in serious doubt is Fury potentially looking to face Brock Lesnar or Cain Velasquez who are set to battle on the same pay-per-view event for the WWE title.

“Who knows what lies beneath? Maybe [Cain] Velasquez, maybe [Brock] Lesnar!”

With Fury reportedly set to make 15 million dollars in his pro wrestling debut, it’s understandable that he may be content to make mega millions for an intents purposes a much safer “sport”.

However, the legal ramifications could be huge as he’s already signed on the dotted line to face-off against Wilder.

Fury has already delayed the rematch once after shocking news came of his co-promotional agreement with Top Rank. The rematch was initially scheduled for May.

At this point chalk this up as Fury talking as usual.

However, 3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
