Tyson Fury Is Looking To Stop Oleksandr Usyk In Rematch
The boxing community is ready for the rematch of undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14KO) versus two-time champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (34-1-1, 24KO). This time The Gypsy King is promising fans will see a different fighter in the ring come December 22.
For the first time in his career, Fury will enter the ring a defeated fighter looking to regain glory. He was heavily criticized for playing around and showboating in their first showdown, which played a significant role in his defeat.
When the rematch was announced, this author quickly stated a more serious Fury must show up to be victorious.
HE IS PROMISING TO BE A DIFFERENT FIGHTER
While speaking with Fight Hub TV, the two-time champion claimed that fans won’t only see a knockout but they can expect a different Fury to enter the ring.
“Knock A Motherfucker out, that’s what me and Sugar planning on.”
“I did everything great last time, but I didn’t get it. It was a close fight. This time it’s going to be a different fight. I’m going to be a different person, a different fighter.”
“The real Tyson Fury will show up on Saturday night.”
Despite showing a playful attitude, Fury has shown signs of uncharacteristic aggression. In a prior interview, he promised to put the hurt on Usyk.
Stopping Usyk would go a long way, but the real question is can fans trust him to be serious for the entire fight? What’s to say that once he feels the fight is in the bag, Fury won’t revert back to his true nature With his legacy on the line, he needs to be fully focused and resist the urge to showboat to prevent suffering another loss.
