Jared Anderson Plans to Exit Boxing By Young and Healthy

On July 1, heavyweight contender Jared “Big Baby” Anderson (14-0, 14 KO’s) will stage his first hometown fight as a professional. Anderson is on schedule to follow up his sensational third round knockout win of George Arias with a bout with Zhan Kossobutskiy. Although, it now seems he will take on late-replacement Charles Martin. Yet, while excited to see the fruits of his labor providing this wonderful opportunity, at the end of the day, it’s just another day at work for Big Baby.

Clearly though, Anderson, 23, explained to Fight Hub TV he is not overly impressed with Kossobutskiy.

“He’s not taking a step up, he’s taking a floor up!”

PAY ME AND I’M GONE!

If there are working eyeballs in your head, you can see that the blue chip Top Rank bruiser has a wealth of talent at his disposal. With that ability, the young fighter has rather limitless potential in terms of the glories and riches he can amass. Even still, the life of a boxer is an arduous and lonely one. It’s so rugged and sacrifice-filled that Big Baby plans on hanging up the gloves in the next several years.

“[I’ll retire about] 26, 27 . . . I have been doing this since I was 8 years old, I am burnt out!”

While Anderson, ranked #7 (WBO), #8 (WBA) and #9 (WBC), would agree that this is not a great deal of time, he still believes he can earn some staggering paydays before he bows out.

“If I put myself and boxing all into social [media] and stay on top of my boxing, I can be done in three years and do everything that they [Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia] doing and more. Because this is heavyweight boxing, we are talking about lightweights who did that. Heavyweight?!”

“If I do that as a heavyweight, if I blow up on YouTube in the next year, if I blow up on Tik-Tok in the next year, those are different bags and different money that can, like I said, complete my goal of financial stability.”

Before Big Baby Anderson can collect those hefty, life-changing paydays, he must take care of business on July 1. So let’s see how things unfold on fight night. If it goes the way of the bookies though, it should be a short night on the clock for Anderson.
