Joe Joyce Fires Off a Salvo of Shots at the Heavyweight Division!
In his next prizefight, heavyweight boxer Joe “Juggernaut” Joyce (13-0, 12 KO’s) will take on tough Romanian Christian Hammer (27-9, 17 KO’s). There Joyce will look to defend his secondary WBO International and WBC silver heavyweight titles. Juggernaut initially picked the belts up in his previous dustup with Carlos Takam.
Like any fight, Joyce is aiming to put a good show to advance his standing in the division. This is even more so considering that he is coming back for the first time since being sidelined by a wrist injury. Yet, injury or not, Juggernaut feels that this is just another opportunity to show why he is among the crème of the heavyweight crop. This confidence is also the impetus for his increasing bravado on his social media platforms.

It is also imperative that Joyce win the match with Hammer to preserve his #1 (WBO), #2 (WBC) and #6 (IBF) standings. For example, his #1 (WBO) ranking gives him a direct shot at the upcoming winner of unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk versus Anthony Joshua. One false step when in against Hammer will dry that opportunity up quicker than a high noon sun in Sudan. So, let’s see how Joyce handles himself under the hot lights in the Wembley Arena against Hammer.
