Keyshawn Davis Puts Down Jamaine Ortiz and Wants Haney Fight
In his latest tour of duty, super lightweight fighter Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (14-0, 10 KO’s) kept his unblemished record intact with his twelfth-round TKO win over Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz (20-3-1, 10 KO’s). From the very beginning to the final bell, there was no question that it was Davis who was on the front foot and bringing the heat to Ortiz.
At the outset however, Ortiz was providing a bit of a puzzle for Davis. Utilizing a somewhat herky-jerky style and flailing arms, The Technician was able to give Davis pause. These tactics did not prove to be fruitful very long. Minus the requisite power to hurt him, The Businessman turned up the pressure himself.
The aggression would pay dividends in the form of an eleventh-round knockdown and ultimately in the twelfth-round stoppage. The fight would be halted by a crippling, scrapping left hook to the body. In a somewhat surprising shake-up, during his post-fight interview, Davis called out WBO welterweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney. It will be interesting to see how Haney responds to the challenge.
