Big Baby Miller fancies himself as the last hope for American Heavyweights!
For some individuals, it is viewed as an unsavory taboo to attack a person who is already enduring a tough time. Disgraced heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (23-0-1, 20 KO’s) is not one of those people! This is precisely why he had no problem lacing up his symbolic boot and kicking Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KO’s) like a football.
Deontay Wilder is fresh off his second consecutive defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury. In his first loss, he had the towel thrown in while he was still on his feet. This allowed him to say and believe that he was still in the bout yet simply had the opportunity stolen from him. There was no such luck for Wilder the second time.
In the belly of the T-Mobile Arena, Fury once again outboxed, out-muscled and overpowered Wilder en route to an eleventh round knockout. When the end finally came, the Bomber was nearly beheaded with a crunching right hook that jellied his muscles and flung him to the floor. Reduced to such a helpless and pitiful state, referee Russell Mora didn’t even bother to count before waving it off. Apparently delighted with this turn of events, former Wilder rival/antagonist Big Baby gleefully chimed in on the matter.
LIFE IN THE DOPE GAME!
A couple years back, when Miller was a rising attraction in the heavyweight division, he was openly pursuing a fight with the Bomber. At the time, Deontay Wilder was still the WBC champion and represented a huge fight for Miller. Well known for his slick mouth and knack for getting under people’s skin, Big Baby had no problem with verbal low blows. For example, when trying to goad the Alabaman into a fight, Miller claimed that Wilder’s current wife was one of his old flings. Despite leveraging his wife’s reputation to get some action, the Brooklyn native was never able to secure a dustup with Wilder.
Actually, before he could realize a major fight with anybody, Miller effectively knocked out his own career. After receiving the golden ticket to challenge Anthony Joshua for his collection of belts, Miller was busted with a spicy gumbo of PED’s surging through his veins. The discovery instantly made him the poster boy for modern drug cheats in the sport. Sure, a fighter getting caught doping is far from uncommon news. However, the amount of substances that Miller was busted for was.

The verbally nimble boxer would go on to weather the political and social media storm. He even went on to land another fight on a significant card. Unfortunately though, he would luck up only to get busted with a medley of illegal enhancers all over again. With the new infraction fresh on the books, Jarrell Miller was promptly upgraded to the worst confirmed drug cheat in the history of the sport.
Given his heavily soiled reputation, his words come off a bit tone deaf. It seems odd that Miller would be talking about himself as if he is some sort of ambassador. Obviously Big Baby thinks highly of his stature in the industry. It was only in the last several weeks that it’s been revealed that Miller was working with hard-nosed chief second Kevin Cunningham and was plotting on a ring return. It will definitely be interesting to see how he is received by the industry as he continues charting this professional resurrection.
