Claressa Shields calls out Laila Ali’s resume!

Unified junior welterweight champion Claressa “T-rex” Shields (10-0, 2KO) and retired former champion Laila “She Bee Stingin” Ali, have been engaged in a heated war of words as each has addressed the other on different talk show platforms.

Then just when you thought things were about to simmer down, the three-divisional unified champion spoke with TMZ, after being made aware of recent comments Ali made on Sway in the morning claiming she would knock out Shields. The quick tempered champion threw all respect out the window and didn’t hold back.

“Laila Ali is all bark and no bite. If a girl calls me out I answer and I go fight whoever it is from Christiana Hammer who was 24-0 just like Laila Ali.

“I went out there and destroyed her.

“Laila may think that she big and she bad and all that stuff but when it comes to boxing there is no woman on this earth that can beat me.

“This is what I say if she wants to fight, I am all for it. We can fight at 168lbs. She says she is at 200lbs right now. I’ll give her a year to get ready.”

This wasn’t the end of the verbal assault, the unified champion even went deep into dissecting the resume of Ali.

“When I beat her, if the fight ever happens they are going to say I fought an old Laila Ali. They aren’t going to say I beat her at her best.

“They are not going to say that but the way that she is talking saying she is going to knock me out…PLEASE!

“My defense is too good for her I am not Jackie Frazier. See déjà vu and karma is crazy because when she fought against Frazier she was 20 years old guess how old Frazier was 38.

“They fought for a world title but they only fought a eight rounds grudge match so the fact I am 24 and she 42 it’s the same thing.”

Shields would end the tirade with two emphatic statements

“She is Muhammad Ali’s daughter. She not Muhammad Ali! She’s not the Greatest Woman Of All Time.

“I am!

“He was the G.O.A.T and that’s his daughter.

“If you go on boxrec just to keep it real, if you look at my caliber of opponents and look at her caliber of opponents, you will see why she is 24-0 with maybe 23 knockouts.

“You will see why because she fought against soccer moms and strippers or something. I am fighting real fighters I match tough.”

Ali hasn’t responded as of yet, however, given the escalating animosity between these two women, this is not the end only the beginning.
