Claressa Shields Willing to Face Savannah Marshall If She Defeats Shadasia Green
At the moment, UK boxer Savannah “The Silent Assassin” Marshall is floating along on cloud nine. This is due to beating Franchon Crews-Dezurn and collecting her quartet of titles to become the undisputed super middleweight champion. In the aftermath, undisputed middleweight champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (14-0, 2 KO’s) eagerly put her bid in to face Marshall. Despite her gusto though, it appears that Shields is falling behind 168-pound contender and WBC mandatory challenger Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (12-0, 11 KO’s).
Once the two began issuing statements about the Crews-Dezurn vs Marshall scrap on their social media accounts, they rapidly crossed paths and exchanged words. Yet, rather than get heated, Shields indicated that she’d happily wait on Green to face Marshall, then challenge the winner.
CHICKENS HAVEN’T ROASTED
Boxing heads have long lavished the skill and ability of Shadasia Green with praise. In fact, there is a healthy contingent of fans who believe that Green is potentially one of T-Rex’s biggest threats available. If the fight with Marshall becomes a reality and goes her way, Green can effectively be catapulted from general obscurity to undisputed champion.
Green would then have the option to pen a match with one of the premiere names in women’s boxing. That would certainly be a welcome beneficial upswing in her professional career! First however, let’s see if the match with Marshall progresses past talk and solidifies into something tangible.
