Victor Ortiz Turns Himself in to Police, Faces Multiple Charges of Sexual Assault


3KingsBoxing has learned that earlier today former Light-Welterweight and Welterweight champion Victor Ortiz turned himself in to Ventura County, CA District Attorney’s office. According to Oxnard police, he was charged on Monday with three felony sexual assault charges.

He was due to face John Molina Jr. this Sunday on FS1. He surrendered to Ventura County’s Sheriff’s office shortly before 3 PM today. Ventura County Superior Court records show that on March 19, 2018 a woman contacted the Oxnard police department and reported that she was sexually assaulted inside her home; telling the local authorities that the suspect was Ortiz.
An arrest warrant was issued for him on Monday and he turned himself in today. Thereafter, he was booked for forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and forcible digital penetration. His bail has been set at $100,000.
