Otto Wallin Confident Ahead of Showdown with Anthony Joshua

Heavyweight contender Otto Wallin (26-1, 14KO) is brimming with confidence as he prepares to face two-time unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (26-3, 22KO) on December 23. While many in the boxing world may consider a victory over AJ an upset, Wallin sees it differently.

In the unpredictable world of boxing, upsets can occur at any moment. The public is eagerly anticipating a showdown between Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Wallin is looking to crash the party believing the two-time unified champion is ripe for the pickings.

HE DOESN’T CONSIDER A VICTORY TO BE AN UPSET

During the final press conference, Wallin explained why the viewing public shouldn’t label a win in his favor as an upset.

“Yes, of course, I’m nervous. It’s a big fight, a significant opportunity, but I’m ready for it. I worked very hard to be here, and now it’s just time to enjoy the moment, win the fight, and move on.”

“People talk about upsets, but I’m going to win the fight, and you shouldn’t call it an upset. It’s not really an upset; it’s just natural. This is my time. I’m ready for it”

The Swede came close to an upset victory after opening up a cut over the eye of two-time champion Tyson Fury in 2019. Although he did not emerge victorious, Wallin used the experience from that night to build up a six-fight winstreak.

In his last outing, the 33-year-old secured a significant victory over former unified cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev. With the Day of Reckoning mega-fight date approaching, boxing fans will be paying close attention to see if Wallin can back up all the talk.
