Brandun Lee eyes world title in 2022!
Unbeaten junior welterweight contender Brandun Lee (24-0, 22KOs) continues his slow rise in the junior welterweight division. The #9 rated IBF contender is undefeated in 24 fights. The power-punching fighter recently added Juan Heraldez to his list knockout victims.

As it is with many young fighters with twenty plus fights, he’s looking to not only step-up his competition but also stake claim to one of the junior welterweight belts in 2022. Following his seventh round knockout of Heraldez, Lee spoke with media and revealed his goal for 2022.
“My plans is to definitely step up the competition some more. Like I said, I have to go back and talk with my team, talk with my manager Cameron Dunkin, and by the end of 2022 I’d like to get my hand on a strap.”
Lee has the makings of a legitimate contender and future champion. Still, he will surely need to step up his competition, especially if he wants to win a world title by the end of 2022. The Freddie Roach-trained fighter has the right mind frame heading into the new year. The question remains: how will he do when he steps up his competition?
There are a few fighters out there he could possibly lock horns with that would provide stern tests. Montana Love (17-0-1 9KOs), who’s ranked number 12 in the IBF, and WBA #12 Fabian Maidana (18-1, 13KOs) are such names. Those possible fights would be a test for Lee, but also for Love and Maidana, who are also looking to get to that next level.
Regardless of who Lee faces next, he’s an exciting fighter with tons of power that makes good fights. Will all of that translate to world champion status? Only time will tell.
