Canelo Warns Jermell Charlo About Undermining his Skill
Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (59-2-2, 39KO) is extra motivated for the upcoming fight against unified junior welterweight champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (35-1-1, 19KO). Iron Man’s doubt in his skillset is what Canelo is using for fuel as he prepares for this highly anticipated showdown.
Charlo has shown tremendous self-belief in his ability to defeat Canelo. The unified champion remains unfazed about moving up two weight divisions to compete for the undisputed super middleweight crown. Moreover, he is basing everything on Alvarez’s flat performance against John Ryder on May 6.
EAGER TO PROVE
The undisputed champion went into detail with Fight Hub TV on how Charlo has highly motivated him.
“I hear he’s talking a lot of things, yeah, and I never forget. He said, ‘Canelo’s going down,’ and ‘Canelo can’t do this, can’t do that.’ He never believed in my skills, but guess what? He’s going to find out soon. I’m very excited for this fight because he and his brother never believed in my skills. That’s one of the things that motivates me for this fight.”
Alvarez has been feeling extra motivated as well, and that is due to him being fully healthy for the fight. The boxing community is eagerly anticipating this fight as both fighters exude confidence in their ability to emerge victorious. Fights like this have the potential to become instant classics and are a dream for fans.
