WBO Light heavyweight champion Eleider Alvarez services is wanted!
Newly crowned WBO light heavyweight champion Eleider Alvarez is in high demand as of late. The cause: his upset stoppage victory over former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev back in August.
According to his promoter Yvon Michel both Top Rank/ESPN and Matchroom USA/DAZN have been pursuing his fighter; wanting to secure his long term services moving forward.
Regardless of a decision made, if any in the near future, his rematch with Kovalev is safe. It will still air on ESPN.
I wouldn’t expect a final decision of this magnitude too soon. Alvarez has to weigh the pros and cons of each offer for what his goals are moving forward.
