Leonard Ellerbe Lays Into Eddie Hearn for Tank Davis Comments!

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn continues to feel the heat for controversial comments about multi-divisional champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (28-0, 26KO). This time, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe chimed in with some colorful words for Hearn.

Davis showed mental toughness by not allowing the since-proven false domestic violence allegations to derail him from defeating Hector Garcia. Hearn’s comments were meant to show his admiration for how Davis handled the situation.

Social media has been tearing into the British promoter for the ill-advised comment on the DAZN Boxing show. Despite his saying that Davis is “a bad motherfucker”, with no disrespect intended, it fell on deaf ears due to the previous statement.

Tank took exception to the comment and clapped back hard at Hearn by bringing up some old history.

LEONARD ELLERBEE ADDED HIS TWO CENTS

Ellerbee got in on the action by taking to social media stating that Hearn did mean it in a disrespectful manner.

The disdain between these two goes deep as they’ve jousted on social media on several occasions. Ellerbee accused his rival of not knowing what he was doing with undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney. Then there was the time he went after Hearn for reported low Pay-Per-View numbers featuring the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez versus Gennady Golovkin, and Dmitry Bivol.
