Ellie Scotney Decisions Segolene Lefebvre to Unify at 122

In a super bantamweight unification that featured two undefeated champions, Ellie Scotney (9-0) became the queen of the division with a victory over Segolene “Majestic” Lefebvre (18-1, 1KO).

Both women showed a high-level skillset, as Scotney went on a body attack early, landing hard hooks and counter right hands upstairs. Yet, the more experienced Majestic found a home for different variations of the right hand. She even landed the uppercut, taking advantage of the IBF champion’s lack of head movement.

As the fight continued, Scotney’s early investment in the body paid off as Lefebvre began to slow down. The undefeated IBF champion was relentless in her attack against the rival WBO champion. Mixing up her attack, Scotney landed several hard hooks that forced Lefebvre to retreat to the ropes. However, she got careless a few times and got caught by uppercuts as Majestic still had some fight left.

Despite fighting back and showing a champion’s heart, Lefebvre was getting overwhelmed by the power of Scotney. With the Ring Magazine and unified titles on the line, the British champion was in full attack mode. Scotney threw punches from all directions and used the angles to land hard shots.

She wasn’t going to let up and fought like a lion until the final bell sounded. The judges scored it 99-91, 97-93, and 96-94 in favor of Scotney. This version of Scotney looks unbeatable as she is improving tremendously with each fight.
