Jarrell Miller Facing Serious Charges in Carjacking Incident

Heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-1, 22KO) is off to a tumultuous 2024, after having been arrested for carjacking in the state of Florida. This incident could mark the conclusion of his professional career, as Miller currently resides in Brown County Jail.

According to reports from WSVN, Miller attempted to reclaim a repossessed vehicle from Haims Motor Dealership. An unidentified woman claimed to have left a cell phone inside a black Dodge Ram. When the employee went to retrieve the item, Miller seized them in a chokehold, demanding the keys.

Big Baby managed to escape, unaware that the vehicle had a tracking device, ultimately leading to his swift apprehension by the police.

Miller faces charges of carjacking without a weapon and burglary with assault.

IS HIS CAREER FINALLY OVER?

In 2019, Miller missed a crucial opportunity to face then-unified champion Anthony Joshua due to multiple positive tests for banned substances. Following his release from Matchroom Boxing, Top Rank granted him a second chance, only to released him after testing positive for another banned substance.

Many boxing pundits harbor reservations about Miller, and some expressed satisfaction when former WBA champion Daniel Dubois stopped him.

With this recent incident, the 35-year-old has given his critics even more reason to call for his exit from the sport. It appears unlikely that any promotional company would take another chance on Miller, especially considering the potential legal ramifications that could sideline him for an extended period.

With his situation deteriorating, this incident may well be the final blow to Miller’s once-promising career.
