Alex Krassyuk Trolls Tyson Fury For Failing to Fight Oleksandr Usyk for Undisputed

Although the undisputed heavyweight showdown is dead and buried, that hasn’t prevented unified champion Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter, Alex Krassyuk, from trolling WBC champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24KO).

Usyk (20-0, 13KO) and The Gypsy King engaged in a very public back and forth during negotiations to make the fight. Fury demanded Team Usyk accept a 30% split, then he wanted to remove the rematch clause.

The unified champion agreed to the 30% split but informed Fury that his team wanted the rematch clause. Furthermore, he demanded the WBC champion sign the contract and stop playing games.

Over the next couple of weeks, the bickering continued until finally Team Usyk had enough and decided to walk away. The final hurdle that killed the deal was the purse split for the rematch. In an interview on Seconds Out, Krassyuk had no problem laying the blame on Fury for making unreasonable financial requests.

Fury went viral on social media in a video calling Uysk everything but a child of God. Krassyuk decided to hit back with a meme insinuating the WBC champion is afraid of his fighter.

As entertaining as this seems, the reality is boxing has failed to produce one of the most important fights of this era. In fairness, Krassyuk is on record saying perhaps the two champions can meet at the end of the year. All that sounds good, but fans are growing tired of being told a fight is going to happen only to have it snatched away later.
