Omar Trinidad Decisions Jerwin Ancajas; Wants Angelo Leo Next
In his latest tour of duty, featherweight fighter Omar Trinidad (21-0-2, 14 KO’s) claimed another professional win. Trinidad made this a reality by toppling Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas (38-5-2, 25 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision. When the scores were read, Trinidad prevailed to the tune of 97-93 on all three cards.
With the win under his belt, Trinidad is looking to waste no time in getting back in the ring. If given his way, he would lock horns with IBF featherweight champion Angelo “El Chinito” Leo (26-1, 12 KO’s).
“Straight up, I been holding his back the whole camp. I heard it’s a big day September 12, and there is a champion out there in the featherweights that needs a dance partner. And with all that said, Angelo Leo, what’s up champ? Let’s dance!”
As it stands, Leo has been out of action since snagging a majority decision against Tomoki Kameda back on May 24, 2025. The IBF champion was recently all set to face Ra’eese Aleem, yet that was before Aleem missed weight and the match was nixed. Let’s see if Leo see’s the call-out of the #2 (IBF), #3 (WBC), and #7 (WBO) ranked fighter and takes Trinidad up on his offer.
