Shawn Porter sends a warning to Terence Crawford!
Now that their huge WBO welterweight title fight is signed and sealed, let the trash talk begin! Two-time welterweight champion Shawn “Showtime” Porter (31-3-1, 17KOs) took to his social media to send a message to his friend-now-opponent Terence “Bud” Crawford (37-0, 28KOs). After being asked when training camp for the fight will start, he let it be known that training never stops! He also tagged Crawford in the post, saying that the champion would find out on November 20.
Not one to back down from a fight or trash talk, the champion simply commented “Bring that shit”. On the surface, that may seem bland in terms of trash talk. However, fans who’ve followed these two men throughout their careers know these two are going to bring the best out of each other.

On paper, this fight looks as if it will be Terence Crawford’s toughest fight to date. Porter, an elite fighter who’s like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going non stop. His penchant for high-paced fights have made elite boxers sit and stand their ground and fight! Crawford, a switch hitter, is exceptional in either stance. However, he’s ultra difficult as a southpaw. He’s a boxer with power and a fighter’s attitude, so a war would be no problem for him.
The question is, as talented as Bud is, have his previous opponents truly prepared him for a fight of this magnitude? That’s something boxing fans and pundits are eagerly awaiting to find the answer to.
Regardless of who wins this fight, boxing fans are the ultimate winner. Matchups like this are what push the sport forward. In a tough year for the sport, this Crawford v Porter tussle has a chance to be forever ingrained in the rich history of all-time great fights in the sweet science.
