Sonny Fredrickson Takes On A Tough Challenge In Miguel Angulo September 14

Victory Sports & Entertainments Sonny Fredrickson makes his in ring return Tuesday, September 14 on the Triller Fight Club card in Hollywood Florida. Taking on the undefeated Miguel “Explosivo” Angel Madueno Angulo (24-0) in 10 round contest contracted at 142lbs. Both combatants made weight the morning of September 13 as Fredrickson was a solid 141.4lbs, and his Mexican rival tipped the scales at 139.9lbs.

For Fredrickson, this is a unique opportunity to sling shot himself back towards the top of the division. Once one of the most promising prospects in the Midwest a 3-3 stretch in his last 6 fights had stalled some of his momentum. Now a respectable 21-4, and just 27 years old, Fredrickson aims to use this fight to jumpstart a rebuild that would see him achieve the lofty expectations that were set out for him early on. Taking on a dangerous undefeated opponent and doing it on platform like Triller gives the Toledo Ohio native the opportunity to do just that.

When asked of the pressures of such an important fight for his career he responded with the experience of a young veteran:

“Every fight carries pressure and every fight is the most important fight of your career. So I prepare accordingly.”

When the conversation shifted towards camp and preparations, Fredrickson sounded even more polished stating:

“I’ve had a rough stretch, but I’ve learned and grown from that. I’m coming into this fight a brand new fighter with a renewed focus and reenergized. My opponent is gonna have to face the best version of me yet.”

A veterans attitude combined with an elite skill set might just be the winning combination for Fredrickson. As of this morning the stage is set, and the only thing left is for Sonny to shine in the Sunshine State.
