Oleksandr Usyk Accepts 70/30 Purse Split for Tyson Fury Undisputed Fight
Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KO) is willing to accept WBC champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury’s offer of a 70/30 purse split. However, following Fury’s model, Usyk vowed to subtract from Fury’s purse with each passing delay.
The drama continues as boxing fans await the rollercoaster ride to be over for the fight for undisputed. Earlier today, The Gypsy King took to social media to inform Team Usyk they will get no more than 30%, and each passing day would see that percentage drop.
USYK ACCEPTS THE OFFER
This gave fans good reason to lean toward the fight not happening. Uysk, not to be outdone, posted a video to accept the offer, but with stipulations of his own.
“Hey, greedy belly. I accept your offer, 70/30 split to fight with you on April 29 at Wembley. But you will promise to donate to Ukraine immediately after the fight one million pounds every day of your delay. You will pay 1% from your purse to Ukrainian people. Deal?”
Usyk has put some serious pressure on Fury, as there seem to be no more excuses for the fight not getting done. Boxing fans will be waiting intensely to see what the WBC champion will do now.
