Julian Williams returns on the Wilder vs Fury under-card
Top junior middleweight contender Julian Williams will now appear on the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson WBC title fight under-card.
His opponent will be Francisco Castro (28-8, 23KO) of Mexico. He hasn’t fought since 2017 where he stopped Carlos Urrea in two rounds. This ended a four-fight losing streak that included losses to Errol Spence Jr and Mike Dallas Jr.
Williams on the other hand, is riding a three-fight winning streak since suffering his first career defeat at the hands of Jermall Charlo in 2016.
His current streak includes victories over former IBF champion Ishe Smith and junior middleweight contender Nathaniel Gallimore.
This is being pegged as nothing more than a tune-up bout for Williams who could land a title shot or be apart of a title eliminator in 2019.
