Brian McIntyre Pleads Guilty to Weapons Charges

3kingsboxing.com had promised to stay on the news regarding trainer Brian “Bomac” McIntyre after his September 3 arrest in Manchester, England. Here’s the latest update regarding the trainer. McIntyre is now a free man after pleading guilty to gun charges.

CLEARED TO RETURN HOME

According to the British source, The Daily Mirror, at a hearing at the Manchester Crown Court, Brian McIntyre pleaded guilty to two firearm charges and was given a 20-month suspended sentence. The reigning undisputed welterweight champion, Terence Crawford, whom Bomac has trained for his entire career, was among those who attended the hearing.

McIntyre’s arrest came a day after guiding Chris Eubank Jr. to a tenth-round stoppage victory over Liam Smith in Manchester. While traveling home following the Eubank Jr. win, Manchester Airport security found two guns in his baggage. At that time, Bomac was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun and ammunition.

Bomac has previously trained former world champions Jamel Herring, Maurice Hooker, and Amir Khan. The highly regarded trainer is now free to return to the United States and resume his career.
