Kell Brook Expecting A Fight To Remember Against Amir Khan
At long last, Amir Khan (34-5, 21 KOs) and Kell Brook (39-3, 27 KOs) will finally settle their long-held contempt for one another in the ring. 3KingsBoxing previously reported that the two were close to finalizing a deal to face each other. On November 29, a press conference was held to announce that the two will indeed face each other on February 19, 2022 in Manchester, England.
The animosity between them is genuine and bored out in full display during the presser. A former unified champion at 140 pounds, Khan told the media he will be more than ready to put Brook in his place.
“It’s gonna be tough, but it’s what I like. I’m definitely excited. You got Kell on the other side screaming like a bitch, but it is what it is. I’m going to be ready.
“For me, it’s a massive fight. I’m not going to say it’s a world title fight because obviously, I’ve fought bigger names and better names, but it’s a big fight.”

Brook also agreed that he is excited to get Khan in the ring. The former IBF welterweight champ promised that he will knock Khan out and guaranteed to be at his level-best on fight night.
“Actions speak louder than words, and I’ll be ready for February 19. It’s going to be carnage”.

Many fans and pundits feel that this is a fight that should’ve happened years ago. In truth, both men are past their primes. But in England, it’s still a big deal. They carry plenty of cache and money, domestically. The crowd will come out in full force. That’s what ultimately matters, and that’s why this grudge match is happening.
