In his first title defense, WBO featherweight champion Rafael “El Divino” Espinoza (25-0, 21KO) scored the early stoppage against Sergio Chirino (22-2, 13KO).

From the opening bell, El Divino looked sharp and was attacking with incredible accuracy. In the first round, the 6’1 champion landed a perfect uppercut that put Chirino on the canvas.

As the fight continued, Espinoza would eat a counter righthand but was unfazed by it as he landed more brutal shots. In round three, he landed a four-punch combination that ended with a hook to the body that dropped the challenger again.

Like a shark that smelled blood, Espinoza went into beast mode and continued to rip off brutal combinations. In round four, he landed another combination and dropped the challenger for a third time. The referee started to administer a count before waving off the fight.

During the post-fight interview, Espinoza stated he was open to a rematch with Robiesy Ramirez and top challenger Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington.
