Floyd Schofield Wins Brutal Stoppage Victory Over Daniel Rosas!
Unbeaten lightweight hopeful Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield (12-0, 10KOs) made quick work of experienced veteran Daniel “Bad Boy” Rosas (22-6-1, 14KOs) in one round! Born in Austin, Texas, Schofield came out quickly, showcasing just why he was headlining a Golden Boy card in only his second fight with the promotional company.
At 5’7, Kid Austin displayed a solid jab, fast hands and terrific punch placement as he hammered Rosas to the head and body. Rosas, who simply stood no chance, was immediately put on the back foot by the aggressive, unbeaten prospect. He landed right hooks to the head and left hooks to the body. However, It would be a vicious left hook that would obliterate Rosas as he crashed backwards to the canvas. To his credit, he tried to rise to his feet, but was simply too hurt.
At 20 years old, Floyd Schofield is a fighter to keep an eye on moving forward. It’s clear that Golden Boy is high on him. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops over time.
