Claressa Shields vs Ivana Habazin is back on the calendar.

In an exclusive interview with 3kingsboxing.com undisputed women’s middleweight champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields revealed that October 5 is the new date for her fight with Ivana Habazin.

The fight was originally on schedule for August 17. However, a knee injury to the champ would postpone the match-up. The fight will air live on Showtime. Flint, Michigan, Shields’ hometown, will host the event at the Dort Federal Event Center.

The fight will be for the vacant WBO junior middleweight title. A win for Shields would make her the fastest ever to win titles in three different weight classes male or female.

These women traded words through social media following Habazin’s accusation that T-Rex was pulling out the fight due to being overweight instead of injury. The champion fired back quickly denying her weight was the issue of her pulling out. She also promised to smack Habazin at the weigh in.

This fight should provide fireworks from the moment the bell rings.
