Thurman Calls Out Undisputed Champion Terence Crawford

Terence “Bud” Crawford (40-0, 31KO) is fresh off of a dominating performance against Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr (28-1, 22KO) to become undisputed welterweight champion. Already, former unified champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (30-1, 22KO) has issued a challenge to Crawford.

Bud has secured a spot in the Hall of Fame and is probably still celebrating after beating Spence’s face into a bloody mess. However, he won’t be able to party too long as challengers will be knocking at the door.

FIRST CRACK AT THE CROWN

Thurman seems to want first dibs on the undisputed champion. One Time took to social media asking for the fight claiming he is different than anyone Crawford has faced.

“Wassup Bud . . . great performance! Salute, salute, salute three times for you man! All the belts – greatness. What you do is greatness, but you know this is your man, Thurman. You know we go back. You know we go way back, boy.

I promise you son my face, my face, it won’t look like that . . . this thing is different, Thurman different . . . Let’s go, I’m proud of you boy . . . talk to Al [Haymon], send the contract.”

Despite his theatrical callout, Keith Thurman does have a history with Crawford that goes back to when the undisputed champion fought under the Top Rank Banner.

In 2022, One Time went after Top Rank’s Bob Arum for fabricating a story that he asked for $10 million to fight Crawford. He probably won’t be getting the fight anytime soon as The Truth plans on invoking the rematch clause.
