Bryan Acosta Drops and Stops Jon Martinez in Six Rounds!

Unbeaten rising featherweight contender Bryan “Latino Heat” Acosta (18-0, 7KOs) put on yet another terrific performance. Headlining a DAZN card, he squared off with journeyman Jon Martinez (12-7-5, 2KOs).

ONE-SIDED BEATDOWN!

Once the action started, it was clear that Martinez was going to need to be clicking on all cylinders if he was going to pull off the upset. However, any chance he thought he had at being successful quickly went out the window as the 24-year-old Acosta immediately went to work.

Using his left jab, Latino Heat started doing tremendous work to the body as he pressed forward. While nothing too significant landed in round one, the tone of the fight was already set!

In round two, Acosta would score a knockdown on Martinez after dropping him with a right hand. Although Martinez wasn’t severely hurt, another message was sent – he would have to respect Latino Heat’s power! The beatdown continued as Martinez simply had no answer for Acosta. Latino Heat not only boxed, but he also stood and traded, which made a rather non-competitive bout somewhat interesting at times.

THE END COMES!

The end came in round six as Acosta came out determined to end this fight. He would unload a seven-punch combination on Martinez that would put him down and out! While he had a chance to get up, he elected to let the referee count him out!

With that, Latino Heat picked up his eighteenth win and second consecutive stoppage victory. The young fighter is someone to keep an eye on as he continues his ascension in the featherweight division.
