Terence Crawford Serves Jermell Charlo a Harsh Critique

The beef between WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (38-0, 29KOs) and undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (35-1-1, 19KOs) continues. Responding to Charlo’s critical recommendation, Bud hit back hard by calling him jealous and beneath his level.

A QUICK LOOK BACK

In 2021, Bud took a shot at Charlo’s failure to capture the undisputed crown after getting a draw with WBO champion Brian Castano. He added insult to injury by stating that Iron Man’s failure was the reason for not being on the pound for pound list.

Things have really kicked into overdrive in 2022. Bud expressed interest in fighting the winner of the Charlo versus Castano undisputed rematch. This fueled the undisputed champion’s rage, and he sent a cautionary message to Crawford about getting knocked out.

CRAWFORD CALLS CHARLO JEALOUS

During an interview on The Last Stand Podcast with Brian Custer, Crawford took aim at Iron Man after learning the undisputed champion said Bud should take less money against unified champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr.

“Jermell Charlo got to understand. He’s undisputed. He did what he’s done in the sport of boxing. But, he’s not on my level nor Errol Spence’s level, and I think that makes him mad and jealous. Because he feels like he’s supposed to be at the top of the echelon. But, he’s not.”

The boxing community knows Charlo is going to respond and the fans are on standby.
