Kyotaro Fujimoto: Daniel Dubois Colorful Competitor!

On December 21, the highly touted UK heavyweight prospect Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois (13-0, 12 KO’s) is aiming to close a busy year on a high note.

Under the hot lights of the Copper Box Arena, located in London, England, Dubois will face the challenge of Kyotaro Fujimoto (21-1, 13 KO’s) live on ESPN+. The bout with Fujimoto will stand as Dynamite’s fifth prizefight of 2019.

On the year, he has defeated Razvan Cojanu, Richard Lartey, amateur rival Nathan Gorman and the hard-hitting Ebenezer Tetteh. All were beaten by way of knockout and none made it out of the fifth round.

If Dynamite has his way he will end the decade with another sensational knockout victory.

THE BEAR MASTER?!

Standing on the outside looking in, Fujimoto doesn’t appear to be the guy who will greatly trouble Dubois. Right from the start, Dynamite will enjoy a five inch reach and height advantage over the former champion kickboxer turned professional pugilist.

Next, 2019 has not been a particularly active period for the Japanese challenger. His bout with the UK bruiser will only be his second of the year. Although Fujimoto was just in the ring this past October 21, his last boxing match before that was in September of 2018.

At a recent presser, the Japanese boxer proved to be both confident and quite a character. After appearing in a suit so colorful that it looked to be torn from a bad acid trip, Fujimoto introduced a man in a panda custom.

The panda clad gentleman was revealed to be one of his sparring partners. Fujimoto joked that since Dubois was as big as a bear he should train with one.

“My opponent is a giant of a man. He seems as big and strong as a bear. It’s a little scary to fight a bear, so I’ve brought in a panda as a sparring partner.”

COMING TO WIN, NOT JUST GET PAID

After the jesting and merriment, Fujimoto did get serious enough to say that while he respected Dynamite Dubois he was still coming to win. In terms of how he thought he could secure a victory, the Japanese combatant promised he has his own capable power that Dubois should be weary of himself.

Obviously the first rate prospect is the large betting favorite, yet, in the end we will have to wait until fight night to see how the international battle plays out in the ring.

“They think they’re going to win, of course. They think they’re bringing me over as nothing more than an opponent for an easy win, but that’s not the case.

“I’m ready to take on the world…If I win, it’s going to change my life.”
