Dominic Breazeale may return to face the rugged Adam Kownacki!

Is trouble coming towards the way of top unbeaten heavyweight contender Adam “Babyface” Kownacki (20-0, 15KOs)?

It appears so!

According to Mateusz Borek, the boxing promoter and managing director of MB promotions, former two-time world title challenger and 2012 US Olympian Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (20-2, 18KOs) appears to be the next man in the way of the Poland thumper as he continues to climb up the rankings of the WBC.

Kownacki ranks number three in the WBA, WBO and IBF. Although, he’s not really under consideration for a title opportunity against unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21KOs).

With the WBC, he ranks number eight. Not the most favorable position for an imminent title opportunity against Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 39KOs).

Both men are under the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) banner. With Kownacki continuing to win, it’s certainly possible that 2020 could be the year for the 30-year-old Polish fighter to challenge for his first world title.

FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS

First though, he must take care of a guy currently looking to erase the most embarrassing defeat of his career.

In May 2019, Breazeale had an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and absolutely failed miserably! He and Wilder maintained a long-standing “beef” heading into their championship contest.

The champion would nearly decapitate Breazeale after one crushing right-hand, sending his motionless body crashing to the canvas in the first round!

But hey, it’s a new year. This presents another opportunity for him to pull off an upset over a man who loves to fight and can end the fight with very few punches. It’ll be interesting to see if Breazeale will shoulder any effects of the devestating first round knockout loss to Wilder against Kownacki on March 7 at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn New York!
