Keyshawn Davis Agrees To Battle Emmanuel Tagoe on April 8

Lightweight contender Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (7-0, 5KO) and Emmanuel “The Gameboy” Tagoe (32-2, 15KO) have agreed to step into the ring. According to ESPN, Davis – Tagoe will be on the undercard of Shakur Stevenson versus Shuichiro Yoshino on April 8. This is a big step up for The Businessman, who will be fighting in his first ten-round contest.

THIS IS A GOOD FIGHT FOR BOTH MEN

In 2020, the WBO ordered Tagoe to fight Ryan Garcia in a title eliminator. The fight never materialized and the Ghanaian picked up a victory over Mason Menard instead. He would disappear shortly afterward before resurfacing to lose to Garcia in April 2022.

The Gameboy has had success on the professional level by winning minor titles with the IBF, WBA, and WBO. He will hold a significant advantage in the experience department, which will be needed against a skillful fighter like Davis.

Davis is one of the hottest prospects in the sport. The 2020 Olympic silver medalist is clearly on the fast track. His last three opponents share a combined record of 79-12. He picked up the vacant WBO Inter-Continental title by dominating Juan Carlos Burgos in December 2022.

The Business Man is happy with how things are flourishing under the Top Rank banner and believes greatness is only around the corner. Moreover, Davis is trained by Brian “BoMac” Mcintyre, who trains top pound for pound champion Terence Crawford.

This is a good fight for the aging Tagoe and the young lion on the rise, Davis.
