Tank Davis v Rolly Romero Weigh-in Nearly Ends in Disaster!

There is no question that Regular WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (26-0, 24 KO’s) and Rolando “Rolly” Romero (14-0, 12 KO’s) share bad blood. The two have been talking trash to one another for an awfully long time and have promised to punish the other when they meet in the ring. Despite this, the two have remained generally well-behaved during the fight week obligations. Yet, this all came to a screeching halt at the final weigh-in!

After both men made weight, and were posing for photographers, Tank lightly pushed Romero in the back. While the shove was not vicious it was enough to knock Rolly briefly off the stage. As one would imagine, Romero and his camp did not take kindly to this and chaos quickly erupted on stage. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the bout was not put into jeopardy.

On the outside looking in, this was far from a staged maneuver. Either way, it should help bolster interest in this already highly anticipated showdown. Up until now, Tank has stated that this match is not personal and he will administer a clinical beat down to Rolly once on the canvas. This act however, demonstrates that perhaps Davis is more agitated by Romero than he is willing to let on. Now the question becomes, will this emotion spill over onto fight night? The only way to answer that is to tune into the big dustup. Thankfully, 3Kings Boxing will be on the scene to report all the action and news!
